Livingstone College was proud to be represented at the CIAA “Live the Legacy” Golf Tournamentat Hillandale Golf Course in Durham, N.C., helping kick off a week of celebration leading into CIAA Football Media Day.

Representing Blue Bear Nation were Head Golf Coach Andre Springs, Assistant Golf Coach Andre Robinson, Vice President of Athletics Curtis Walker, and Dr. Greg McCord, joining conference leaders and member institutions in celebrating the rich history of the CIAA while investing in the future of student-athletes.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our student-athlete, Gabriella Muñoz.

Gabriella exemplified what it meant to be a Blue Bear. A standout on the softball field and in the classroom, she earned a 4.0 GPA during both semesters of the 2025–2026 academic year while maintaining a 3.75 cumulative GPA. Her kindness, humility, determination, and infectious smile left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

As we mourn this tremendous loss, we ask the Livingstone College community to keep Gabriella’s family, teammates, coaches, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.

Although her time with us was far too short, her legacy will live on through the lives she touched. On behalf of Livingstone College and the entire Blue Bear family, we honor Gabriella’s life with gratitude, love, and remembrance.

Rest in peace, Gabriella. Forever a Blue Bear, forever in our hearts. 🩵🐻
