🚨 A brand-new era is coming to Walt Disney World’s beloved Carousel of Progress.

Disney has confirmed a massive reimagining of the Magic Kingdom classic, bringing major story updates, new scenes, and an all-new look at the future of technology.

The attraction’s current version will take its final spin on July 5, 2026, before closing July 6 for an extended refurbishment expected to continue through 2027.

One of the biggest changes? Walt Disney himself will finally become part of the attraction’s story.

Instead of following the old turn-of-the-century-to-modern-day timeline, the new version will explore innovation through different generations beginning with Walt’s own era:

✨ The 1960s
📺 The 1980s
💻 The New Millennium
🚀 The Future Ahead

And yes… the finale is finally getting pulled out of its “future” from the 1990s and pushed into a whole new tomorrow.

Classic attraction or not… this is one of the boldest updates Disney has made to a Magic Kingdom original in years.
