Labor Day weekend… are you practicing?

YES! 😂🥎

But we also saw it as the perfect opportunity to do something a little different - to bring our girls and families together and continue building what we want this program to become.

Today we divided the girls into two teams and had an intrasquad scrimmage. It was HOT, but there were zero complaints, plenty of competition, and somehow we couldn’t even settle the bragging rights because the game ended in a tie! 😂

Afterward, the grills fired up and the real fun began. 🍔🌭

Softball was only part of today. The girls got to compete against each other, laugh, hang out, and just be kids. Parents had an opportunity to spend time together and get to know families they may not normally sit beside at the field.

This is how you build more than a softball team. You build relationships, friendships, culture, and eventually a softball family.

Thank you to every family who chose to spend part of your Labor Day weekend with us and to everyone who brought food, helped cook, set things up, cleaned up, or simply showed up and made today what it was.

We want to develop great softball players and compete at a high level, but we also want these girls to look back years from now and remember the people, the friendships, and the fun they had along the way.

Today was a good reminder that we’re building something bigger than wins and losses.

🥎💣 BIG CONGRATS TO ELIA DOTSON! 💣🥎

She’s been putting in the work, and today it paid off in a BIG way!

Elia hit her first HOME RUN—and there was absolutely no doubt about it! 🔥

She got all of it and cleared the fence by about 20 feet!

FIRST NORTH GEORGIA WOW FACTOR PRACTICE — IN THE BOOKS!

It was great seeing these girls on the field together for the first time.

They came focused. They competed. They challenged themselves and they challenged each other.

The tone was set from Day 1.

This is just the beginning, and there are BIG things ahead for this group.

Iron sharpens iron.

WOW FACTOR SOFTBALL UPDATE

The response to our WOW Factor tryouts exceeded every expectation, with 63 athletes competing for a spot in our program.

After careful evaluation, the 2031, 2032, and 2033 teams have each selected an initial core roster of 8–9 players. This was intentional.

Instead of filling every roster spot immediately, we’ll use the fall season to continue evaluating athletes before selecting the final 1–2 players for each team.

If you didn’t receive an immediate offer, it does not mean the door is closed.

We’ll continue evaluating athletes through private workouts, middle school games, and other opportunities before making final roster decisions.

Our goal has never been to simply fill a team.

Our goal is to build teams with the right talent, the right work ethic, the right attitude, and the right families who believe in accountability, development, and our culture. Sometimes building something special takes more than two open tryouts.

Thank you to every athlete who had the courage to compete and every family who trusted us throughout this process.

We’re committed to building this program the right way, not the fast way.

FINAL OPEN TRYOUT – SUNDAY, JULY 19

Last Sunday, we had an outstanding turnout with talented athletes from across Northwest Georgia who came ready to compete for a spot in our program.

They raised the standard.

Now the question is…

WHERE ARE THE REST OF NORTHWEST GEORGIA’S BEST ATHLETES?

We’re not looking for everyone.

We’re looking for athletes who want to compete, be coached, embrace accountability, and earn their place on an elite team.

Roster spots are limited. Every position must be earned.

Not every player will make the team.
But every player who competes will leave better than they arrived.

If your daughter is capable of more…

Don’t choose the easiest path. Choose the path that challenges her.

THE FIRST TRYOUT IS IN THE BOOKS… AND ALL WE CAN SAY IS WOW!

The talent showed up, and the competition was strong.
We had an incredible group of athletes step onto the field ready to compete, challenge themselves, and showcase their abilities.
To every player who came out, thank you for having the courage to compete. It takes confidence to be evaluated and go head-to-head with other talented athletes, and every player who stepped on that field should be proud.

THIS IS WHAT WE MEAN WHEN WE SAY IRON SHARPENS IRON.
And we’re just getting started.

TRYOUT UPDATE – JULY 12

Today’s tryouts are still ON!

As of 10:30 AM, the field conditions are good, and we are planning to proceed as scheduled.

If anything changes due to the weather, we will communicate it as quickly as possible.
