What a day for these young Spartans.
Caudill’s 6th graders stepped up against Tates Creek’s 7th grade and walked away with a 14–0 SHUTOUT! Playing up a grade didn’t matter. They played physical, played together, and showed exactly what Spartan football is supposed to look like.
There wasn’t one Player of the Game tonight — THE ENTIRE TEAM earned it.
Sawyer was everywhere defensively, coming away with an interception AND a forced fumble.
KJ Smith was a workhorse, rushing for over 100 yards and a touchdown, while also making tackle after tackle on defense.
Kaiden Bermudez found the end zone for another Spartan touchdown and delivered a huge night defensively with multiple tackles.
Brooks Miller did the dirty work that wins football games — delivering big blocks on offense and coming up with big tackles on defense.
Cash Pope did a great job running the offense, keeping the Spartans organized and moving the football when it mattered.
Kamela came through when her team needed him with a huge third-down stop, helping keep the shutout intact.
And Preston Akihary had an outstanding game in the trenches, living in the backfield and piling up tackles for loss.
But tonight was bigger than individual stats.
It was the offensive line fighting for every yard. It was 11 helmets flying to the football. It was teammates picking each other up. It was kids doing their job even when their name wasn’t being called.
6th graders. Playing 7th graders. On the road.
