Saturday, the Virginia Vols Foundation hosted our first-ever Vols Day! 🔸
The purpose of Vols Day was to bring our Vols families together with members of our local community to support youth athletics — and to say the turnout was amazing would be an understatement!
The support and sense of community throughout the day were incredible. We are extremely grateful to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, sponsored, or played a part in making our first Vols Day such a success.
We hope this is just the beginning of a tradition that continues to grow bigger and better every year!
A special thank you to all of our event sponsors who helped make the day possible:

City Wide Decorators
Raindrop Irrigation
Rick’s Tire & Auto

🔸 INTRODUCING THE VIRGINIA VOLS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM 🔸
We’re excited to launch the Virginia Vols Development Program, designed specifically for 7U–10U players looking to build a strong baseball foundation and prepare for the next level of the game.
At this age, development comes first. Our focus is on teaching proper fundamentals, building good habits, and helping young players gain confidence in a consistent training environment *without the pressure or commitment of weekend tournaments.*
Players will work on:
• Hitting fundamentals & proper swing mechanics
• Throwing mechanics & arm care
• Infield & outfield fundamentals
• Baserunning & baseball IQ
• Athletic movement, coordination & body control
• Teamwork, confidence & respect for the game
Our goal is to give young players the foundation and instruction they need to continue developing and eventually transition into competitive travel baseball.
⚾ FALL PROGRAM DETAILS
📅 September 1 – November 17
⏰ Tuesdays | 5:30–6:30 PM
💰 $150/month
📍 Location: TBD
👥 Ages: 7U–10U
Workouts will be led by Coach Carpenter, a former Division I baseball standout at VCU, with an emphasis on quality instruction, fundamentals, and making sure players enjoy coming to the field and getting better.
