Garden Talks in the Rancho Community Garden are back for the season! Would you love to learn about gardening in Nevada from knowledgeable people while being surrounded by a beautiful garden?! Join University of Nevada, Reno Extension Master Gardeners at the Rancho Community Garden every third Thursday at 6pm May-September! First talk is tomorrow May 21st at 6pm, learn about the history of the garden as well as how to build a compost sifter. Hope to see you there!🍅🍏🥕🫛🌷

Stargazing at Galena Creek Visitor Center Friday August 21st @ 7:30pm, Summer Triangle Talk . Telescopes will be set up in the parking lot for an unobstructed view of the night sky after the presentation .

Here's your chance to view the brightest stars of summer- Vega, Denab, Altair- The "Summer Triangle”. Get to know their corresponding constellations, see some amazing DSO (Deep Sky Objects).

Come join us at Davis Creek Regional Park this Saturday for a tour of the park with a geologist who will point out some of the most interesting rocks and landforms, talk about the processes that made them, and give us a great introduction to the earth beneath our feet! Children's ages are best suited for reading age, but all are welcome.
