There are going to be days when you’re tired, frustrated, not playing your best, or things just aren’t going your way. Keep going. Anybody can have great energy when everything is easy—the difference is how you respond when it gets hard.

Keep showing up. Keep working. Keep competing. And most importantly, keep being a great teammate.

Pick your teammates up when they’re struggling. Celebrate their success. Bring energy to the dugout. Stay positive and remember that the name on the front of the jersey will always be bigger than the name on the back.

In softball, there’s a huge difference between being prepared and simply being comfortable.

Comfortable is showing up and doing what you already know you can do. There’s little pressure, little risk, and usually little growth.

Prepared is putting in the work before anyone is watching. It’s taking the extra reps, learning from mistakes, communicating with your teammates, staying focused, and practicing at a level that makes game-day pressure feel familiar.

The goal isn’t to build a team that’s comfortable. The goal is to build a team that’s prepared.

Comfort disappears when adversity hits. Preparation takes over.

When the score is tight, runners are on base, and the game is on the line—you don’t rise to the level of what you hope you can do. You fall back on what you’ve prepared yourself to do.

Don’t practice until you’re comfortable. Practice until you’re READY. 🥎🔥
