Angler and hunter harassment laws, enacted in all 50 US states by 1995, prohibit the intentional interference with, or disruption of, lawful hunting, fishing, and trapping activities. These laws, often classified as misdemeanors, protect individuals from being obstructed, disturbed, or chased off public or private lands while participating in these activities.
Key aspects of these laws include:

Intentionally preventing, hindering, or interrupting a lawful hunt or fish, including disturbing wild animals, following individuals, or blocking access.
*Applies to public lands and private land

Violations can result in fines, imprisonment, or both, such as in where penalties can range from $200 to $2,000 and up to 180 days in jail.
Peace officers are responsible for addressing violations, and individuals are generally advised to document incidents (e.g., GPS coordinates, photos) rather than confronting the harassers.
