A message from Coach DeRosa to the Sutherland Baseball Family: ⚾️❤️

Sutherland Baseball Family,

After a great deal of reflection and many sleepless nights, I have made the difficult decision to step down as Head Coach of Sutherland Baseball. This has been one of the most challenging decisions of my career, but I believe it is the right one for me and my family.

Over the past 16 years coaching in this program, including the last nine seasons as Head Coach, I have devoted countless hours to Sutherland Baseball. While I would not change a thing, that commitment has often meant missing important moments with my own family—Little League games, gymnastics meets, school events, and other milestones. As difficult as it is to step away, I am incredibly proud of what we have built together and confident that the program is in a strong position for continued success.

The accomplishments of the past nine years—including five Sectional Championships and two State Final Four appearances—belong to the players who bought into the program, came to work every day with a desire to improve, and consistently demonstrated what it means to be great teammates.

I would also like to recognize and thank Coach Kaczka and Coach Armanini, who will be stepping down as well. Due to increasing professional commitments and family, it has become more difficult for them to be present at practices and games. I am extremely grateful for their dedication, loyalty, and friendship throughout our time together. We have built lasting relationships with countless players and families, and I cannot thank them enough for the time, energy, and care they invested in helping your sons succeed both on and off the field.

To all of our parents and families, thank you for your unwavering support of both me and the program. Your encouragement, trust, and commitment have been instrumental in creating the culture that makes Sutherland Baseball special. Most importantly, you have raised outstanding young men and taught them the values of commitment, hard work, accountability, and perseverance.

Looking forward to watching the continued success of the program!
