Kicked off our fall season today with new and returning athletes! Shout out to all our volunteers and athletes - everyone was AWESOME. Today we worked on how to hold the stick, dribble, pass, and stop the ball. We also scored a lot of goals. So happy to be back on the field with our team 💜💜

For one of our last skills, we’re focusing on the block tackle—one of the most important defensive skills in field hockey! A block tackle helps you stop your opponent, stay in control, and defend safely without reaching or swinging your stick. Learning the proper technique will help you become a stronger, more confident defender every time you step onto the field!

Receiving is one of the most important field hockey skills because it allows you to maintain possession, connect with teammates, and keep the game moving. Learning how to cushion the ball and control it cleanly will help you play with confidence and set up your next move.
