Since 1996, the Pittsburgh Wrestling Club has been helping to grow the sport of wrestling at all levels. Camps and clinics are also available.
The PWC helps support the University of Pittsburgh wrestling team and also provides camps, clinics, practices, and competition opportunities for grade school wrestlers. The PWC helps Pitt wrestling maintain a full time coaching staff, market the program through socials, gear, posters, etc., and fund athletes for training and competitions. The PWC funds trips to the Olympic Training Center in Color
ado Springs, CO on an annual basis. The PWC also funds trips to national and international competitions. Over the past decade the PWC has allowed Pitt wrestlers to travel to China, Guatemala, Mexico, Turkey, Bulgaria, Poland, Canada and more. These experiences have proved to be extremely valuable to the Pitt program. Thank you to those who have donated throughout the years to make these opportunities possible. Through the PWC youth club we provide a place for grade school wrestlers to develop and learn the sport year-round. The club offers practices twice a week out of season and weekly during the season. Organized trips to tournaments like Flonationals and FILA Cadet Nationals give younger wrestlers national experience. The PWC also provides funding to club members who qualify for Cadet and Junior Nationals in Fargo, ND.
