Congratulations to Velocity on winning their first 9U tournament! We are so proud of you Millie and Abigail!! Millie had 21 strike outs and only gave up four hits. They are getting better each lesson and a joy to coach!

I honestly don’t even know where to start. What a weekend for our Velo girls!

16 teams in the 9U division, and these girls left it all on the field. Saturday we played 4 games, starting at 8 AM and not leaving the ballpark until almost 9 PM. We ended up in the loser bracket, but these girls were not ready to go home.

Sunday was another LONG day. We played back-to-back from 10 AM until 9 PM. By the end of it, they were tired, hot, delirious, and running on fumes… but they kept going.

They could have easily given up. Instead, they kept fighting for each other and kept finding a way to win.

And they did it.

YOUR 9U VELO GIRLS ARE CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Coming out of the loser bracket and winning it all after the weekend they had makes this one extra special. I’m just so proud of the fight these girls showed. They didn’t quit when they were tired. They didn’t quit when things got hard. They kept believing.

That’s the kind of weekend they will remember.

Now it’s back to work because we’re headed to Ruston this weekend for the St. Jude Tournament, and we already know the competition is going to be tougher.

But after this weekend? I wouldn’t count these girls out for anything.

Proud is an understatement. 💜🥎
