2027 Single Shot Rimfire National Match

For 2027, the Single Shot Rimfire National Match is introducing an Aggregate Winner. The Aggregate Winner will be determined by the number of points a participant earns based on their finishing position in each event.

How the Points Are Awarded
For example, if there are 40 participants in the Cross Stick Match:
1st place earns 40 points
2nd place earns 39 points
3rd place earns 38 points

Points continue in this manner, with 40th place earning 1 point.

Each of the three benchrest matches is scored separately. If there are 40 participants in a benchrest event, there are 40 points available in that event.

Offhand Matches
There are two offhand courses of fire:
20-shot Offhand Match
50-shot Offhand Match

Participants may compete in only one of these two matches.
The number of points available in each offhand match is based on the number of participants. For example:
If 25 participants compete in the 20-shot match, 25 points are available.
If 15 participants compete in the 50-shot match, 15 points are available.

Example: Joe
Joe finishes as follows:
2nd in the Cross Stick Match — 39 points
20th in the 50-shot Benchrest Match — 20 points
40th in the 5-shot Group Match — 1 point
30th in the 10-shot Group Match — 10 points
3rd in the 20-shot Offhand Match — 23 points
Joe earns a total of 93 points.
Because Joe competed in the 20-shot Offhand Match, he is also eligible for the Territorial Prize.

Example: Bob
Bob finishes as follows:
10th in the Cross Stick Match — 31 points
4th in the 50-shot Benchrest Match — 37 points
15th in the 5-shot Group Match — 26 points
7th in the 10-shot Group Match — 34 points
14th in the 50-shot Offhand Match — 2 points
Bob earns a total of 130 points.
Because Bob competed in the 50-shot Offhand Match, he is eligible for the Paul Shuttleworth Prize.
