Nurse practitioner I Gut Health Consultant. Heal your gut through nutrition and mindset strategies

07/17/2026

I always thought my digestion would improve when I finally found the perfect supplement, or when a test would finally show something was wrong.

Hi👋🏼 I’m Lindsey Lindsey | GUT HEALTH & HOLISTIC WELLNESS COACH former nurse practitioner turned gut health coach after years of personal struggle before finally healing my gut + having total food freedom.

Turns out.. the biggest difference in my overall digestion came from doing a few simple things that make a big impact over time.

1. I check in with myself.
A few times a day I pause and ask, “What do I need right now?” Slowing down and practicing the pause has been one of the biggest improvements for my digestion.

2. I take a few minutes each morning for myself (usually.. if you have kids, ya you know😉)
Coffee. Prayer. Stillness. Breathwork. Even 5 minutes helps set the tone for my entire day

3. I prioritize protein and fiber at every meal.
Protein gets all the hype, but fiber is just as important for feeding your gut bacteria and keeping digestion moving. It can be a challenge for some to get fiber in, but once you do it’s a game changer.

4. I keep meals and hydration consistent.
Instead of skipping meals or trying to “catch up” later, I aim for regular meals and steady water intake throughout the day. Your gut loves consistency. This helps keep our digestion steady.

5. I keep food neutral.
No “good” foods. No “bad” foods. Just patterns over time. Most of my meals support my goals, which also means I can enjoy fun foods without guilt.

6. I get outside every morning.
Even 5-10 minutes of sunlight within the first hour of waking helps- it regulates my body’s internal clock, improves my sleep, and keeps my nervous system and digestion happier throughout the day.

None of these are fancy.

But after 20+ years of digestive issues… these simple habits have made the biggest difference.

So bloated you look 6 months pregnant- yet you have zero answers or explanation.

Hi! I’m Lindsey Lindsey | GUT HEALTH & HOLISTIC WELLNESS COACH - former nurse practitioner turned gut health coach after going through my own journey just like you. I’m so glad you’re here!

Comment ‘FIBER’ to get my free high fiber low bloat foods list if you feel like everything makes you bloated (even water 😩).

I know firsthand how incredibly frustrating it can be to feel like this:

you don’t know what to eat because at this point you can’t tell what creates problems and what doesn’t.

You keep hearing “eat more fiber” but fiber just makes it worse.

You’re sick of wearing yoga pants and oversized tees just to hide your pregnant looking stomach.

And hearing “everything is normal” no longer feels like a relief, but makes you want to scream and maybe even want to punt someone across the room 😉

Come follow me at Lindsey | GUT HEALTH & HOLISTIC WELLNESS COACH where I share realistic but holistic strategies to improve digestive and eat the foods you love again.

Digestive urgency shouldn’t be deciding where you go or what you say yes to.

If you’re tired of constantly managing it and ready to understand what may actually be contributing, comment START and I’ll reach out.

Will Diet Coke wreck your gut?
Most wellness gurus will tell you yes (i used to think so too)

No it won’t wreck your gut microbiome
No it won’t sabotage your health.
No it won’t create blood sugar imbalances.

You would have to consume and ungodly amount of aspartame in order for it to affect your gut in the way that most wellness influencers lead you to believe.

That’s all.
And that’s the end ✌🏼

One of the biggest misconceptions I see with our clients is eating healthy should fix your bloating.

In reality, many women are eating plenty of healthy foods and still struggling because the issue isn’t always what they’re eating, rather it’s how their digestive system is functioning(or not).

Three common root causes I see:
✔️ Eating plenty of fiber, but the gut isn’t breaking it down efficiently due to underlying imbalances(we see this on testing)

✔️ Poor meal hygiene and eating mechanics (rushing meals, multitasking, eating under stress, not chewing thoroughly, etc).

✔️ Chronic stress which can reduce digestive function and slow motility (essentially stopping the assembly line in your gut)

The goal isn’t to fear healthy foods or avoid them.

Instead, let’s actually look deeper into why your body isn’t tolerating them the way it should.

Have you ever been told to “just eat more fiber” and felt worse? Same, sis. But we both know that just makes things worse.

Comment BLOATED if that’s you. And let’s chat 😉

Sick of being told “everything looks normal” when your gut feels anything but normal?

If you’re tired of bloating, stomach pain, and being handed another prescription or a “just avoid these foods forever” list… it’s time for a different approach.

You don’t need another bandaid.

You need answers.

When we dig deeper and find the root cause, EVERYTHING changes.

DM me or comment HEAL and let’s talk about how to finally get a plan that works for YOUR body. No guessing. No quick fixes. Real solutions and a real plan that is actually sustainable

Had to go on antibiotics and worried about your gut health?

Here’s what to do:

First… if you genuinely need antibiotics, don’t be a fool and not take them. Antibiotics can be life saving and I’ve seen too many people try to fight real serious infection “naturally” and they end up pretty sick.

And if you need them, that is OK! (Also want to make sure we aren’t just taking them for any little sniffle)

Depending on if we know what your underlying gut microbiome looks like before antibiotics, we may recommend a probiotic supplement to help replenish what was wiped out. I have also seen people who already have way too heavily populated levels of bacteria(both good and bad) so we don’t always need to give a probiotic.

Something we can all do regardless of wha our gut environment looks like is intentionally focus on lot of probiotic rich foods. Yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, etc. my two favorites for the sake of ease and taste to recommend are cocojune yogurt and kefir. Both have a high amount of probiotics in a serving.

If you’ve been on antibiotics and can’t seem to get your digestion back quite right afterwards- comment PROBIOTIC so we can have a conversation if comprehensive stool testing would be a good next step for you.
