The squad immediately recognized his awesome charm and skill! Luis played college tennis at Oklahoma State University. He found pickleball 3 years ago and quickly sharpened his skills coaching. He now coaches at Club 13 Pickleball in Dallas. His favorite shot is the dreaded drop shot on those baseliners!! Welcome to the Phoenix Firebirds Luis! We are thrilled to have you with us. Welcome our newest player on the Phoenix Firebird squad Stephanie Newton! 🐦‍🔥 This local Phoenix girl is a former collegiate volleyball player, multi-sport athlete, mom of four, and Director & Head Coach of Arizona High School Pickleball and PURE Academy. She’s helped grow the game across Arizona and is playing a key role in making high school pickleball a reality. Stephanie hopes to inspire others to chase big dreams at any age, and make her family proud!! Don’t let her sweet disposition fool you, she is a fierce competitor with a fierce overhead.
