Been feeling a little off my game since I got home.
Today I got back to a few of the things I know bring me back to myself.
Walking outside. People I love. And apparently spraying myself with a garden hose after dark. 😂💦
Still finding my rhythm again. Trying to go a little easier on myself while I do.
Tonight I’m grateful.
For the people I got to see today.
For the joy.
For being home.
For another day.
🙏🏼🥰

Maybe I’m loud.
Maybe I drink too much coffee. ☕️
Maybe I’m a different person sober…
But mostly? I’m just a happy human who loves other humans.
I forgive pretty easily because I really believe we’re all doing the best we can with what we’ve got.
Here’s to giving each other a little more grace. 🖤

Summer has always been my favorite season.
This year has been different.
My dad has been in the hospital, and it’s been the hardest summer of my life.
I’m still finding little moments to breathe, even if they look different than they used to.
One day at a time. 🖤

Went in for my 30,000-mile service thinking it would be a quick in-and-out.
Plot twist… they found something that needed attention, so I ended up sitting at the dealership for 3½ hours.
Instead of waiting around, I walked over to Target. They had bathing suits 40% off, and I realized I hadn’t bought a new one in quite a while.
So… into the dressing room I went.
I’m not gonna lie. It was a humbling moment.
After all the work I’ve been doing, I expected to feel a little different. I know my nutrition hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been pretty good. I also know that at 55, hormones, stress, grief, and life have a way of showing up in our bodies whether we invite them or not.
For a minute, I wanted to be frustrated.
Instead, I chose something else.
I chose gratitude.
I chose courage.
I chose to keep showing up.
Because this journey isn’t just about what I see in a dressing room mirror. It’s about becoming healthier, stronger, wiser, and kinder to myself along the way.
(And yes… I bought the more classic, understated bathing suit. Five years ago, I probably would’ve picked something completely different. Turns out, I really love the woman I’m becoming.) 🖤
If you’ve ever stood in a dressing room and felt vulnerable… you’re definitely not alone.
Keep showing up.
We’ve got this. 💪🏻🌊
