If you want true love, first start by loving yourself.
If you want happiness, start by loving yourself.
If you want financial abundance and freedom, start by loving yourself.
If you want to find fulfillment and purpose, start by loving yourself.
Everything begins within.
When you don’t love—or even like—yourself, it becomes harder to believe you deserve the relationship, career or life you dream about. It’s harder to chase your goals, receive love and give others the love they deserve.
Loving yourself doesn’t mean you have everything figured out. It means knowing you are worthy while you continue to grow.
The life you want begins with the relationship you have with yourself.

For the Mom who loves her family BUT misses herself. Mindset • Movement • Momentum
Strength after 40 • Real Life • Real Growth
Mom of 3 • Athlete
I used to say I didn’t have time to work out.
But the truth was, I was giving all of my time and energy to everyone else—and would get frustrated that I didn’t have the “motivation” to achieve my goals or simply do a workout.
As a mom and business owner, there will always be someone who needs help, somewhere I need to be, work that needs to get done and another responsibility waiting for me.
If I waited until everyone else was taken care of, my needs would always come last.
So now, I get up before everyone else and make that time mine.
Not because my family is less important, but because taking care of myself helps me show up better for them.
Moving my body supports my mental health. It gives me more energy, helps me manage the demands of my day and reminds me that my goals still matter too.
Putting myself first for one small part of the day doesn’t make me selfish.
It means I’m no longer trying to pour into everyone else from an empty cup.
I matter too—and so do you. ❤️
If you’re learning to fill your own cup, make time for your own goals and prioritize your well-being without guilt, follow along. We’re learning to choose ourselves—together.
This morning, I planned to go for a run before it got too hot. Then the school called, I had to drop what I was doing to drive there and suddenly my entire morning changed.
Yesterday, my husband’s flight was canceled, so I had to rearrange my day and cover his shift.
The old me would have let this moment completely change my state. I would become frustrated, allow that frustration to follow me throughout the day and sometimes abandon everything else I had planned.
But NOW I’m learning that emotional growth doesn’t mean never feeling frustrated.
It means recognizing the feeling without allowing it to control what happens next.
I may not be able to control the phone call, the canceled flight or the unexpected change of plans—but I can control how long I allow that moment to have power over me.
So I pause. I breathe. I adjust the plan.
And I keep going.
Our days (or our life for that matter) may rarely go exactly as planned—but that doesn’t mean we have to give up on ourselves or our goals.
The plan changed. The goal didn’t.
I’m 42 and I’m not afraid to admit that…
1. Sometimes I feel like a “bad” mom.
I love my kids more than anything, but I carry a lot of guilt about not always being as present as I think I should be.
2. I feel guilty doing things just for me.
Even when I’m having fun, there’s sometimes a voice telling me I should be with my husband and kids, working, or doing something more “productive.”
3. I’m don’t like confrontation.
I’ve stayed quiet, tolerated things I shouldn’t have, and gone against what I knew was right for me just to avoid hurting or disappointing someone.
4. I give people too many chances.
I always want to see the good in people, even when it means I sometimes get taken advantage of. But honestly, I’m still not sure I want to change that part of me - I’d rather care too much than become someone who stops caring at all.
5. I feel like an imposter sometimes.
I walk into certain rooms and wonder if I belong there. I compare myself to people who seem more successful or accomplished and question whether I’ve earned my seat at the table.
6. I constantly feel like I should be doing more.
Yet sometimes I get so overwhelmed by everything I need to do that I procrastinate and do almost nothing… then feel guilty about that too. 🙃
7. I’m afraid to dream as big as I actually want to.
Part of me knows I’m meant to do something bigger and make an impact. Another part asks, Who are you to think you deserve that? What if you fail?
And maybe scarier… what if you succeed?
8. I’ve spent so much time being “busy” that I rarely stop to ask myself: Am I happy? What do I actually want?
9. People think I’m an extrovert but I’m naturally the opposite.
Staying quiet is comfortable. Being seen isn’t.
10. I’ve hidden parts of myself because I’m afraid of being judged or not accepted for who I really am.
I’m learning to stop hiding.
To use my voice.
To let myself be seen—even when it’s uncomfortable.
Being vulnerable isn’t about having everything figure out. Maybe it’s being brave enough to say: This is me.
Follow, If you need a safe place to let yourself be seen too. ❤️
Why am I soo scared to live for me when this is literally the only life I get….
For years, I’ve allowed my fear of failing—and the unfamiliar—to stop myself from progressing or even trying.
So I’ve signed up for the 21-day storytelling challenge to push myself beyond what feels comfortable. For 21 days, I’m choosing to show up, share my truth, and let myself be fully seen.
I don’t know where this journey will lead me, but I know I’m ready to stop standing in my own way.
Here’s to choosing courage, allowing myself to shine, and seeing what happens next. ❤️
Follow along for the journey.
