This years Island Dragway's Funny Car Throwdown was one for the ages!

'Nitro Joe' Morrison took the opening round win with a margin of victory by .013 seconds. Both cars got sideways fighting for control yet both had sub 1 second 60ft. times. In round 2 and a lane swap, both cars left together and stayed together all the way to the end, and we evened up the score getting a .02 margin of victory over Joe.

We came into this weekend tied and we came out of it STILL tied but at 3-3. This was some of the most exciting and fun match racing we've had in quite some time.

Thanks to Joe and his team, of the 3 events we've raced each other, this one is gonna be a tough one to top. It went back and forth with both cars and drivers getting very close wins, very evenly matched, made for some great 'edge of your seat' action. Thanks to Island Dragway for having us. Granted that this outing was shortened to 1/8th mi. due to timing equipment damaged by lightning/bad weather, they still managed to put on an incredible show for a packed house for the fans and they came away with an awesome experience regardless. Which brings us to fans, THANK YOU GUYS for coming out, supporting the track and the show, supporting what we do, buying our shirts, getting our autographs and pictures taken. You guys made the last week of frustrations and thrashing all the more worth it!

IT'S RACE DAY HERE at Island Dragway!

It may be a bit humid and muggy, but it's gonna be a super fast day of racing action! FIRST ROUND AT NOON, 2ND ROUND AT 2 PM! BE HERE!!!

Welp... as it goes in drag racing, you have some good days and you have some bad days... today was one of those bad days.

Track and air conditions were looking great; and right as we were about to send it to close out first round action, we broke something in the rear. Ultimately making this a very short day for us and heading home early to fix things up before our next outing in a week. It really bums us out since the gremlins seem to pop up either around this time of the season or whenever we run at our hometrack, Maple Grove Raceway. We want so badly to put on the best show we can and run the same respectable numbers we've been running as of late; and we hope (given the current, extremely turbulent climate of the sport in recent weeks) that we can run again at the place we've called 'home' for close to 40 years.

That aside, we want to sincerely thank Tim and Adam Krause and their crew for helping us out today. Words cannot describe how much we've missed seeing them at the track and to work together today, share some laughs and enjoy the day is more than greatly appreciated. Cannot wait to see Tim back out soon with the 'Altered Atittude 2.0' soon.

Also thanks to Ricky Pirrone, 'Nitro Joe' Morrison, Bob Hill, Jimmy Danko and so many others that have already reached out, offering to help get us back out again for next weekend; it's truly overwhelming. Same from the fans that SHOWED UP and PACKED the track today. Support is simple, showing up backs it up and that's what it's all about; especially right now and that's a sign of better days are very much on the horizon.

You guys know we've bounced back from worse before. If there's anything we know how to do, it's don't ever give up! We'll be keeping you all posted as we begin yet another mid/late season comeback and go into our final few events of the year with the intention of finishing out stronger and better than ever!
