TEN years in the Zumba Instructor Network! 💃

It started because I wanted to save my favorite dance class from being removed off the group exercise schedule—so I became the temporary instructor. From there came STRONG Nation, Zumba Kids and eventually Aqua Zumba, which turned out to be my ultimate favorite. 💦

Ten years, a lot of music, and I remember so many people who have moved with me along the way. And yes, my long-promised on-demand Aqua videos for “my folks” still need to happen. Consider this my public reminder. 😂💙

New to American Mah Jongg? Honeycomb Mahjong’s next small-group Learn to Play series begins September 28 in our downtown Perrysburg studio.

Three 90-minute lessons are $65 and include your 2026 National Mah Jongg League card. No experience or equipment needed.

Already know the tiles but need a little help putting it all together? Drop in for Guided Play this Monday from 7–9 pm.

Little Acorns was created for exactly that season.

This small-group Pilates series gives new moms a place to rebuild strength, reconnect with movement and exercise with baby right alongside—no childcare required.

Babies approximately 3 months through crawling are welcome.

Movement doesn’t have to look the same for every body to be effective.

A big part of my work is finding ways to preserve the goal of an exercise while adjusting the position, range, support or challenge to meet the body in front of me.

Today I’m sharing a few of those evidence-informed movement strategies with the Lunch Bunch 419 at the Maumee Senior Center — simple ways to support mobility, strength and balance for everyday life.

Start with today’s body. Build from there. 💙

Traveling doesn’t have to mean pressing pause on movement.

I love simple, equipment-free routines that help you stay mobile, energized, and ready to enjoy your trip. This hotel-friendly Pilates flow from Balanced Body is a great example.

Even a few minutes of intentional movement can make sightseeing, long car rides, and flights feel a little better.

Recovery isn’t always sitting still.

Some of my best recovery days involve gentle movement in the pool. The water reduces impact while challenging balance, mobility, and coordination in ways that help me return to running, walking, strength training, and everyday life feeling better.

Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all. The right strategy depends on your goals, training history, and how your body responds to stress.

That’s why I spend as much time helping people recover well as I do helping them exercise.

Every teacher had a teacher. 🀄️

This week I’m back in North Carolina playing Mahjong with my mother-in-law, who introduced me to the game years ago. I’m grateful for the friendships, fun, and community that have grown from a simple invitation to sit down and learn (plus a few house rules 😆).

Sometimes the most meaningful things begin with someone pulling up a chair and saying, “Let me show you how.”
