2025 8U Perry All Stars - Maroon

❤️💛 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝟖𝐔 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐬 💛❤️

The 2025 All Star journey wrapped for these 8U Maroon boys this weekend at State. They wanted to win, they fought to win, but sometimes you can give 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 you have and it simply isn’t enough. But here are some things these boys learned over their All Star journey this summer:

⭐️ They are 𝐄𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇. Even though there will always be things to improve on, and sometimes you don’t end up as Champions, they are enough exactly as they are.
⭐️ They are built of 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 than just skill and baseball IQ. They are strong, mentally and physically, and they showed more heart, tenacity, and toughness than even adults are capable of sometimes.
⭐️ They are willing to 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊 for it! These boys practiced 4-6 days a week for almost 2 hours at a time in the extreme heat for the last 6 weeks in addition to 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐭 days on the fields every weekend. They learned what it means to dream and to bust your butt to learn and grow and work towards achieving your goals.
⭐️ They can lose and win with 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐄! There are endless lessons that can be learned in the face of both winning and losing. We faced teams we saw do both without grace or humility, and we can stand proud in the fact our 8U Maroon boys have the spirit, heart 𝐚𝐧𝐝 class of true champions.

When you throw a group of 8 year olds together who haven’t played together as a team, and they have to compete in only a few weeks, you face challenges. They played with new teammates, new coaches, and in some instances in new positions, and to expect them to perform as a cohesive unit at the top levels of competition within weeks, is 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝! But they showed up, against the odds, and they 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐝 their little 8 year old hearts out.

They laid it all out, left it all on the field, and showed us not only what they can do, but who 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞! We are sad to end this journey sooner than we wanted, but on behalf of every player, parent, and Coach we can undoubtedly say 𝐖𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐃!

And we are 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 for a team of Coaches who poured into them, believed in them, lifted them up and loved them. 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊 𝐘𝐎𝐔 for all you did for this team. You are true 𝐌𝐕𝐏'𝐬 ❤️

And lastly, 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 to all of our 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐙𝐈𝐍𝐆 sponsors for truly making a difference in our next generation. And to every single fan who rooted them on and cheered for them, either in person or at home. Your love and support was felt by all the boys and we are so grateful for it all!

📣 ⚾️ 𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬 - 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆 ⚾️ 📣

It’s State Tournament 𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬! Today is the final day of play at State for our Perry 8U Maroon boys, and its win or go home. Game 1 kicks off at 1:00pm against the team has become our arch rivals throughout this Braves Country All Star journey.

These boys dug deep during pool play against East Side Thunder yesterday, and finally found their Maroon groove in the 5th. It wasn’t enough to get the Win, but that inning showed our boys exactly what we have known all along, 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗬 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗗𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦!

There is nothing like the pressure of stepping on a field in these high stakes, competitive games, especially for 8 year olds. We are bringing that Perry Maroon ⒺⓃⒺⓇⒼⓎ today and we are 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 these boys can do it. We have seen the endless hours they’ve put in and no matter the outcome we 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 what they are made of - 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 - 𝐇𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞 - 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐭 - 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐝!

So let’s go fight for that title today! And let’s show these Marietta boys what our 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝟖𝐔 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐧 boys can really do!! 💪🏼 ❤️

It’s almost game time and these boys are 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 and 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗬 for some revenge against these East Side Thunder boys! ⚾️💪🏼

𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐎𝐖! These 8U Maroon boys are headed to Dublin, GA to battle it out this weekend at the Braves Country Georgia State Tournament!! Our Coaches have prepped them all week, both mentally and physically, and we know these boys are 𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑫𝒀!!

So throw on your Maroon and Gold fan gear and get your Game Face ready as we kick off our first Pool play game tomorrow, Saturday, June 14th, at 10:00am against East Side Thunder! And what better way to start it off than with a good ole '𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆 𝒈𝒂𝒎𝒆' against the team that beat us last weekend 💪🏼

🤩 𝔽𝕦𝕟 𝔽𝕒𝕔𝕥: Dublin, GA is less than an hour away from Perry, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 the team already prepaid tournament gate fees for fans, so it's 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 to get in 😃 So, if you want to see your 𝒇𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒆 8U Maroon boys throw down in person, then head on over to the Southern Pines Complex Saturday or Sunday and cheer these boys on!!!

These boys 𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐈𝐓! They are headed to the Braves Country State tournament this weekend, June 14th and 15th, in Dublin, GA!

They didn't finish the way they wanted at Regionals this past weekend, but as it tends to happen in baseball, they took an L in their second bracket play game. However, they won when they needed to, so we will not let a loss take away from the huge amount of pride we have in these boys. We are proud of how they played, and of the character, determination, and sheer grit they showed and continue to show!

So give it up for your Perry 8U Maroon boys 👏 We are proud of you and we cannot wait to watch you compete against teams across the State this weekend!

These boys came out 𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐑𝐘 today!! They shut out Hopewell Hawks and ended with a final score of 15-0!

Bracket Play Game 2 starts at 2:20pm!!

Our 8U Maroon boys went 1-1 today in the brutal heat, and pulled out the #2 seed going into bracket play tomorrow!

We kick things off at 10:20am tomorrow - Sunday, June 8th! Our boys are ready to bring the HEAT tomorrow (literally and figuratively 😜)! Cheer them on as they continue the battle to become Region Champs!!
