🏔️ What an epic end to Scarlett’s 12U journey! 🥎
We just got back from the biggest, highest-exposure 12U tournament in the nation: the Triple Crown Colorado 4th of July Sparkler Jr.
Out of 113 12U multi-tier teams from around the nation, the top 21 were selected for the first-ever 12U Power Pool. Scarlett’s team, Lady Outlaws National - Cruz, battled hard and finished 16th among the absolute best!
đź’Ş Facing the Giants
The girls truly faced the "giants" of the nation—some of these players were over 6’ tall with insane power! As a pitcher, Scarlett held her own beautifully. While we came up short due to a few fielding errors and some tough umpire calls down the line, we won and lost as a team.
🌟 Unforgettable Moments
The Highlight Play: Watching Scarlett single-handedly turn a double play! She snagged a pop-up and threw out a runner heading home.
Team Bonding: The girls braved white water rafting together, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

This marks the official end of Scarlett’s 12U season as she transitions to 14U. We are incredibly grateful to the village of coaches who poured into her:
Pitching Coaches: Alyssa Denham and Brooke Vestal—your elite instruction gave her the exact tools she needed for this stage.
Hitting Coaches: Jessica Downey (The Softball Doctor) and Courtney Plocheck—thank you for building her into a true power hitter.
Team Coaches: Marcus Cruz, Ryan Cruz, and Jose Linares—thank you for pushing her to be a better athlete and teammate.

Last but definitely not least, thank you to my husband. After long, hard days at work, you were always out there catching for her (and even took a shiner to the shin!). You pitched to her, risked the bruises, and navigated the sweat, tears, and attitude of a 12-year-old. When she wanted to give up, you kept pushing and pushing . She will never forget that you were always in her corner believing in her when she didn't believe in herself.
As we head into 14U, I can't wait to see where the Lord takes her. Wherever that is, I pray His will is done. ✨
