2026–2027 PYRA Basketball Season
📅 Registration is OPEN NOW through October 18, 2026!

🏀 SEASON DETAILS
• Practices: Begin in November
• Season: December 2026 – February 2027
• Divisions: Boys & Girls, 1st–6th Grade
• Registration Fee: $115 per player
• Installment plans available

👕 UNIFORMS
Players will be provided with a reversible jersey and shorts.
There will be a designated date and time for players to come try on uniforms prior to ordering.

🔥 ADVANCED REC OPTION
For those who have a group of boys or girls who play at a higher level, PYRA offers an Advanced Rec Division.
This option allows you to keep your players together while providing a more competitive game environment.
Advanced Rec Details:
• Divisions: 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th Grade
• Single-grade divisions this season!
• Games: 8+ games
• Flexible scheduling, with the possibility of multiple games on Saturdays
• Compete against other Advanced Rec teams within the Wise County League
• Game Locations: Throughout Wise County
• Game Format: 8-minute quarters with a running clock

Important: The Advanced Rec Division is specifically intended for groups of players who are more advanced in their basketball skills. It is designed to provide a more competitive playing environment while allowing those players to remain together as a team.

PYRA is looking for a few high school students to help us work the youth football games we’re hosting in Paradise this Saturday!

We’ll need help with various game-day jobs throughout the day.

PYRA is now accepting nominations for our Basketball Commissioner!

- Do you love basketball? ❤️🏀
- Do you love helping kids? 🙌
- Are you organized, dependable, and possibly a little too comfortable making spreadsheets? 😂

Then you might be exactly who PYRA needs!

This is an important and busy commissioner role. The Basketball Commissioner will help organize the season, coordinate teams and coaches, manage schedules and communication, work with officials and facilities, and help make sure our basketball program runs smoothly from tip-off to the final buzzer.

Translation: This isn't a “show up on game day” kind of job. 😆 It takes time, organization, communication, and a willingness to get things done.

And just a heads-up… we're on a bit of a time crunch! ⏰ Registration and season planning will be kicking off ASAP, so we're looking for someone who is ready to jump in and get the ball rolling. 🏀

If you're interested in helping build a great basketball experience for the kids in our community, we want to hear from you!

Leone Park Weather Update

Due to the extreme heat projected for today and tomorrow, the Leone Park team has made the decision to suspend all practices and games through Tuesday. We will resume normal activities on Wednesday.

Your commissioners will work with the teams to reschedule any games that are affected.

If your team was scheduled for practice Monday or Tuesday and only had one practice scheduled for the week, I will work with you directly to make sure your team gets an opportunity to make up that practice.
