We went into this tournament today playing up in 14U Open as a 12U team. Our pool play games blew me away! I have never seen our girls take the field with such determination and grit. They truly came together and played like a team. As their coach, nothing more makes my heart happy then seeing them go out there and work together while also LOVING and ENJOYING what they are doing. Unfortunately for us, we got stuck with a 7 hour break between our pool play games and bracket play after getting the 8AM game, so by the time bracket came around our girls were exhausted. Among other things that weren’t their fault, it just wasn’t shaping up to be our night in bracket play. But what I saw out of them today in pool play was enough to make this day 100% worth it! I’m so very proud of them for coming together, working as a team and leaving it all on the field! These girls truly have a heart for not just the game, but each other as well. I’m thankful I get to coach this group of young ladies! And while the night did not end the way we had hoped, I’m so very proud of them for going out there, competing and leaving it all on the field. This is just the start of the season and I already can’t wait to see what all they accomplish together! You did great, girls! And coach is very proud! Let’s get em next time! 💪
