Someone asked me what I do on my off days.

This is one of them. She is my joy, my heart and my why. I thank God every moment I get with them. We are so blessed.

Last service in our little red Church on the corner.
So much growth in such a small place, we have outgrown and need to move to our future home.

In just five years we've touched so many lives, including my own. My seeds were planted earlier on, but refreshed in this very welcoming home, we call our family now.
It's a place where my faith has grown tremendously with each and every message.
It's not just a place I go on Sundays to worship.

God means everything to me. He is my strength when I feel weak, my peace when life feels overwhelming, and my hope when I can’t see what’s ahead.

He has carried me through some of the hardest moments of my life and has been there in some of the most beautiful ones. Even when I didn’t understand what He was doing, I’ve learned to trust that He was still working.

God is more than someone I believe in—He is the foundation of my life. He gives me purpose, reminds me who I am, and continues to teach me how to love, forgive, grow, and have faith.

I know I’m not perfect, and my faith journey hasn’t always been perfect either. But through every season, God has remained faithful. When I look back at my life, I can see His hand in places I didn’t recognize at the time.

To me, God is love, grace, strength, comfort, and hope. He is the One I turn to, the One I trust, and the One I want at the center of my life.

And now we'll get back to our regular program:

I believe they do intertwine-Faith is like a muscle. It only grows if you use it. Strong mind, strong body, strong soul.💪🙏🙌

For those who have been curious about taking our Lesmills Core classes and wondering if they could be affective.
Here is my proof.....This was our trip to Hawaii directly before I started my certification for teaching this Core class. I remember vividly trying to memorize on our plane trip home to learn the moves to take the test.
This picture was taken a year later in January.

Since then I've developed a stronger posterior chain, shoulder strength, I've never had before, and actually can see a set of abs.
At the age of 53 I never thought I could build a physique I actually feel comfortable in.
I was so busy getting stronger that before I knew it I was actually looking stronger as well.
This journey has always been about feeling better to me and getting physically healthier.
For the first time, my blood work is optimal. And that has been the goal. Building muscle has leaned out the large amount of fat percentage I had on my body. No cardio, besides my walking and Strength Training. In order to lift heavy, I knew one thing had to get stronger and that was my core. It is such an important part.
When my core strengthened, so did my balance,my stability, and my ability to move better. I was never athletic when I was younger.
So to say I feel as though I could be very athletic now seems unreal to me.
So I guess my message is, for someone who was able to come out of their comfort zone and try new things, I believe each, and everyone of you could as well.
It's never too late. There is no time to waste and while we're here we might as well live it to the fullest. I know I'm not going down without a fight. 💪

Who's prepped and ready for this short but busy week? 🙋🏻‍♀️

I have more check off sheets to hand out tomorrow for those that needed extra or didn't have a way to print them off.

After Labor Day festivities is a perfect time to start 💪 strong!

We are all in this together so if there are struggles or triumphs feel free to reach out and let me know. We are aiming for consistency not perfection. Allow yourself a hiccup but keep moving forward and don't give up. We all have them. Let's help each other stay the course with support and encouragement.
This month as like all the others will go by fast so let's call it a successful one by showing up for ourselves.

Let's all Stay Flat-Out Fit!!!

Science shows it's never too late. ⏰
It all depends on what you want your quality of life to look like. 💪

Ten frail nursing home residents, average age 90, were put on a real lifting program. Not chair aerobics. Progressive resistance training, three days a week, for eight weeks.

Their strength went up an average of 174 percent. Scans showed the muscle in their thighs had physically grown by about 9 percent. Their walking speed improved by nearly half.

The oldest person in that study was 96.

It was published in JAMA in 1990, and decades of research since keeps confirming the same thing: muscle responds to training at every age. The machinery that builds it never shuts off. It just sits there waiting for a reason.

So if you're 50, 60, or 70 and telling yourself the window closed, the research says the opposite. The window is open. The people who lose the most muscle with age aren't the ones who started too late. They're the ones who never started.

You don't need a barbell to begin. Bodyweight is enough for months of progress.

Know someone who thinks they're too old to start? Send them this.

Full breakdown of what the research shows and exactly how to start at any age in the comments. ⬇️
