How do kids feel about heights? The answer might surprise you.
Research suggests that fear of heights isn’t simply something children are born with. As kids gain experience moving through the world, they become better at assessing challenges, understanding what their bodies can do, and deciding what feels safe.
And that makes watching the Endeavor Challenge Course come to life at the GreenState Millard Activity Center even more exciting.
This week, the course looks completely different. Nets and challenge elements are going up between the platforms, and you can finally begin to see the experience that will be waiting for kids here.
Endeavor isn’t just about getting up high. It’s about giving kids a safe, supported environment to assess a challenge, make a decision, try something new, and build confidence along the way.
Sometimes growth starts with looking at something that seems difficult and thinking: “I can do that.” 💚

Construction continues inside, but this week, we noticed another exciting sign of progress outside: the first trees are going in.
There’s something special about seeing landscaping begin on a construction site. Walls, concrete, and steel tell us a building is being built. Trees and landscaping help us begin to see the place it will become.
With work continuing throughout the facility and the exterior taking shape, the GreenState Millard Activity Center is looking more and more like its future self every day.
And we have to admit… seeing the first trees planted in front of a building with a tree at the heart of its logo feels pretty perfect. 🌱
We’re getting closer. Stay tuned!
There’s a lot more progress to share.

Standing next to the Endeavor Challenge Course today, you can really start to appreciate the scale of what’s being built at the GreenState Millard Activity Center.
With the first challenge level reaching approximately 12 feet above the ground, the platforms, cables, and multiple levels are transforming the construction site into an adventure course right before our eyes. And these platforms aren’t just part of the structure - they’ll become transition points where participants move from one challenge to the next, building confidence, teamwork, and resilience along the way.
It’s one thing to see the Endeavor on paper. It’s another to stand underneath it and look up!
We can’t wait to see what’s next. 💚

We need our community with us.
The GreenState Millard Activity Center is taking shape. Soon, these 85,000 square feet will be filled with students learning and creating, athletes training and competing, families connecting and our community coming together.
But bringing this vision fully to life takes all of us.
We are looking for donors and sponsors to join the GreenState Millard Activity Center campaign.
No taxpayer dollars are funding construction. Every step forward is possible because businesses, organizations, families, and individuals in our community have chosen to support this extraordinary project.
There is still an opportunity for you to be part of it.
Become a donor. Become a sponsor. Help us create a place that will serve our students and community for years to come.

🏗️ GreenState Millard Activity Center. Our July Construction Update.
Every month brings exciting progress - and July was no exception.
Over the past several weeks, we’ve seen tremendous transformation across the facility. Interior walls are taking shape, dedicated spaces are becoming clearly defined, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems continue to move forward. What was once an open construction site is quickly becoming a place where our community will learn, compete, connect, and grow.
It’s exciting to walk through the building and begin to imagine what each space will soon become - from basketball and volleyball courts to esports, Spark programming, educational experiences, and community events.
None of this would be possible without the incredible dedication of our construction partners, the generosity of our donors and sponsors, and the continued support of our community. Thank you for believing in this vision.
We’re getting closer every day, and we can’t wait to share next month’s progress with you.
Stay tuned for our August Construction Update!

We love seeing this happen in our community! 🚁
Spark Adventure Camps is wrapping up the summer with one final week - and next year these camps will be right here with us at GreenState Millard Activity Center. Stay tuned!
In the meantime - spots are still open for Ready, Set, Drone! this July 27–31.
Registration is here: https://www.ezchildtrack.com/spark/parent
Your kid is going to fly a drone this week.
Not watch someone fly one. Not read about how they work. Actually fly one - and then build an obstacle course and fly through it.
That’s how Ready, Set, Drone! ends every Friday. Campers design their own course, set it up, and fly their drones through it in front of families. And then parents get a turn too.
(Fair warning: the kids are usually better at it by then.)
All week, campers take on 2–3 real flight challenges a day. Some days they’re building obstacles. Other days they’re learning tricks. Every day they’re learning how drones actually work - the physics, the safety, the real-world applications - and then immediately putting it to the test.
By the end of the week, they know how to pilot. That’s not a figure of speech.
We don’t have a lot of spots left. This is the last week of Spark Adventure Camps for the summer - July 27–31.
If your 4th–6th grader has ever looked up at a drone and wondered how do I do that — this is the week.
📅 July 27–31 | 9AM–12PM | Grades 4–6
📍 Beadle Middle School
⚠️ Register by Thursday, July 23

Open to all Omaha metro kids 🌎

The future of the GreenState Millard Activity Center isn’t just about sports - it’s also about creating new opportunities to learn, explore, and discover.
This week, our team had the opportunity to experience Transfr, an immersive virtual reality platform that helps students explore careers and develop real-world skills through hands-on simulations.
Imagine being able to step into the role of a welder, electrician, healthcare professional, advanced manufacturer, or dozens of other careers - all before entering the workforce.
Experiences like these help students discover their interests, build confidence, and make informed decisions about their future.
As we continue planning the educational programming for the GreenState Millard Activity Center, we’re excited to explore innovative tools and partnerships that will expand opportunities for students across our community.
The future is being built - both inside our facility and through the experiences we’ll offer.
