For my Omaha and Lincoln area people, having the peace of mind in knowing that you have someone local to help solve any issues you may be having with your tack is such a valuable tool to have in your kit!

Disclaimer, there are right and wrong ways to do these, but there is proof that they can help. Healthy backs and thoracic slings are so important when we are looking at saddle fit, so it is nearly impossible for me to keep them separate. These conversations come up during saddle fittings quite often for this reason. It’s all connected!

If I had it to do all over again, x-raying my horse’s hooves to take a look at what’s going on with the angles of their coffin bones and patterns would be one of the very first things I would do.
With Zippy, we could never figure out why, though he had previously not had shoes, his heels were contracted. Because of that heel contraction, we struggled with sulcus thrush.
It took me years to finally X-ray him to see what was going on. Too many. And it turns out he’s got zero palmar angles and is brokeback through his pasterns. So of course his heels were contracted. They weren’t getting the stimulation they needed to grow.
He has now been in corrective shoes for a year with no improvement, and I can’t help but to wonder what things would have looked like if we had gone in with this information 7 years ago when I got him.

Now this is strange. When I search my business page from my personal page, a number of poor reviews pop up that, once you open them, you can see that they are NOT for my business, but you have to open them to see that. Among them is a positive review that IS for my business. Why that is mixed in with a bunch of reviews that are not, is quite strange. This is not ok Meta. What is happening here?
