Welcome to Ask Anja Adventures | A-List Travel
Travel has never been just a vacation for me—it has been a way of life.
I was born in Germany into an Army family, so travel began before I could even remember. I was flying before I could walk, and some of my earliest memories are of exploring new places, meeting new people, and discovering that the world is so much bigger—and more beautiful—than the little corner we call home.
I didn’t grow up wealthy, but my grandparents believed experiences were one of life’s greatest gifts. They taught me that seeing the world is one of the best investments you can ever make. Looking back, I may not have grown up rich in money, but I always felt rich because of the places we explored and the memories we created together.
That passion has never left me.
Over the years I’ve traveled throughout the United States—from California, Florida, New York, Washington State, Washington, D.C., Arizona, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, and beyond.
I’ve also been fortunate to experience some of the world’s most incredible destinations, including Mexico (Cancún, Riviera Maya, Cabo San Lucas), the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Australia, Fiji, Paris, Rome, Venice, Nice, and Canada from Toronto to Vancouver and Kamloops. I’ve enjoyed countless luxury resorts and multiple cruises, and every destination teaches me something new.
Today, I get to share that experience with my clients.
One of the very first things I do after arriving at a resort isn’t heading to the pool.
I lace up my tennis shoes.
I jog the property.
I learn the layout.
I introduce myself to the concierge.
I discover which restaurants require reservations, which hidden spots guests often miss, where to catch the best sunset, which spa treatments are worth booking, where the quiet pool is, what entertainment shouldn’t be missed, and all of those little insider details that transform a good vacation into an unforgettable one.
I believe luxury isn’t always about spending more.
It’s about knowing more.
It’s knowing that many luxury resorts include hydrotherapy or water journeys that guests never realize are complimentary.
It’s requesting the higher-floor room with the better view.
It’s asking for a room in the quieter building.
It’s arranging airport transportation before you land.
It’s recommending the excursion that’s truly worth your time—not just the most advertised one.
It’s knowing when butler service is worth the upgrade—and when it isn’t.
It’s having someone advocating for you before you ever arrive.
That’s exactly what I do.
Many people don’t realize that the cost of working with a travel advisor is already built into most vacation packages. Whether you use an advisor or book everything yourself, you’re often paying the same price.
So why not have someone in your corner?
I love asking for upgrades, celebrating special occasions, finding promotions, arranging VIP experiences, and looking for those extra touches that make my clients feel valued. Sometimes that means a better room. Sometimes it’s a welcome gift waiting in your room. Sometimes it’s simply knowing the right person to ask.
Because it never hurts to ask—and more often than you might think, the answer is yes.
For me, travel is much more than beautiful resorts and incredible destinations.
Travel teaches us empathy.
It broadens our perspective.
It introduces us to different cultures, different stories, and different ways of living. Every journey reminds us how connected we really are.
That’s why I love what I do.
Helping someone experience the vacation they’ve been dreaming about doesn’t feel like work.
It feels like sharing one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever been given.
So whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, an adults-only escape, a European adventure, a luxury cruise, a family vacation, or the trip you’ve been saying you’ll take “someday”…
I’d be honored to help you travel like the A-lister you are.
