⚡️ WHAT IF DANARIO ALEXANDER STAYED HEALTHY?
Danario Alexander arrived in San Diego in 2012 and immediately showed why the Chargers took a chance on him.
In just 10 games:
🏈 37 REC
🏈 658 YDS
🏈 7 TD
🏈 17.8 YPC
Then came 2013.
In real life, Alexander suffered a season-ending ACL injury in training camp. But what if he makes it through?
Malcom Floyd suffered a season-ending neck injury in Week 2 of 2013, opening the door for rookie Keenan Allen to take on a much bigger role.
Now imagine a healthy Alexander lining up opposite Allen. 👀
2013: 73 REC • 1,115 YDS • 10 TD
2014: 78 REC • 1,185 YDS • 10 TD
Two seasons. Nearly 3,000 yards. 27 TDs.
And then… the knees finally catch up.
With Alexander’s history of five previous knee surgeries, I think two full seasons at his peak is a realistic “what if.”
But those two years could’ve been special.
Alexander + Allen + Gates + Rivers.
Could that have been one of the best receiving groups of the Chargers’ 2010s?
🔵⚡️ The talent was never the question. The knees were.
What do you think Alexander’s career would’ve looked like if he stayed healthy for just two more seasons?
