Starting in 1930 with only one employee, the Ocean City Beach Patrol now employs more than 200 seasonal men and women during the summer peak to safeguard 10 miles of shoreline.

The OCBP headquarters is located at the corner of S. Philadelphia Ave. and Talbot Street  in downtown Ocean City. 

Lifeguards are on duty daily from 10 AM to 5:30 PM. However, as the summer season comes to a close and lifeguards return home and to school there are less lifeguards on the beach. Today there are 15 lifeguard stands on the Ocean City Beach. Please make sure to swim near a lifeguard stand for your safety.

Good morning fellow bikers. Let’s do a Thursday bike ride down the Ocean City boardwalk . Starting from the Ocean City fishing pier we’ll bike to 8th Street.  We’ll have a strong wind behind us from the south. 🌬️
