One day, you’ll load that little dirt bike into the trailer for the last time… and you probably won’t know it’s the last time

The best advice we can give another moto family?

Don’t get so focused on building a racer that you forget you’re raising a kid.

Motocross can get serious fast.

Better bikes. New gear. Faster lap times. Bigger races. More training. Better finishes. Chasing points. Chasing podiums.

Before long, something that started because your kid loved riding a dirt bike can start feeling like another job.

At Fulton MotorSports, we have to remind ourselves what this is really about.

Let them be kids.

Let them have days where they’re fast and days where nothing goes right.

Let them make mistakes.

Let them come off the track covered in mud with a huge smile on their face.

Let them battle their buddies like a plastic trophy and 12th place are both on the line. 😂

Let them enjoy the sound of a two-stroke, hanging out in the pits, talking with other riders and just being part of motocross.

And most importantly, stop measuring your kid against somebody else’s.

Every rider has a different story.

Different experience. Different equipment. Different opportunities. Different struggles. Different families making different sacrifices behind the scenes.

Their journey isn't supposed to look the same.

There will always be another race, another class and another kid who's faster.

But there won't always be another Saturday morning loading that little dirt bike into the trailer.

Someday the boots won't be sitting by the door.

The gear bag won't be overflowing.

You won't be mixing fuel at 5:30 in the morning.

You won't be grabbing terrible gas-station coffee while everyone else is still asleep.

And that little voice yelling…

“Dad! Did you see me hit that jump?!”

won't stay little forever.

The trophies will collect dust.

The results will eventually be forgotten.

But the early mornings, long drives, muddy race weekends, garage nights, laughs, frustrations and stories we made together?

That's the stuff we'll remember.

We're proud of every finish.

But we're even more grateful for the opportunity to watch our kid grow up doing something he loves.

🏁 ONCE WE’RE INSIDE THOSE FENCES…

Something changes.

The world gets quiet.

Not literally — there’s nothing quiet about a gate full of two-strokes. 😂

But somehow… everything else goes silent.

The work week disappears.
The bills disappear.
The stress disappears.
All the bu****it life throws at you can wait.

Because for those few hours, it’s just motocross.

We unload the bikes.
Set up the pit.
Get the gear on.
Mix the fuel.
And watch #167 throw a leg over that bike.

Suddenly, nothing else matters.

You’re not thinking about tomorrow.
You’re not replaying yesterday.
You’re just watching your kid do what he loves.

Then Johnny rolls up to that starting gate.

Goggles on.
Hands on the bars.
Engine screaming.
Heart pounding.

And that's when you remember exactly why we do this.

This is why Fulton MotorSports exists.

This is why we load the truck when we're exhausted.

Why we spend money we probably shouldn't.

Why we drive hours to a track.

Why we spend late nights in the garage getting the bike ready.

Why we're up before the sun on race morning.

Why we come home covered in dirt, sunburnt, exhausted, sometimes pi**ed off — and already talking about the next race.

Because motocross isn't just about trophies.

It isn't just about lap times.

And it sure as hell isn't just about dirt bikes.

It's about these moments.

Watching your kid chase something he loves.

Watching him get faster.

Watching him struggle.

Watching him get back up.

Watching him become tougher, more confident and more determined every time that gate drops.

Someday, we won't be loading an 85 into the trailer anymore.

Someday, there won't be another race to get ready for.

And when that day comes, we're going to wish like hell we could have just one more weekend inside those fences.

So right now?

We'll take the long drives.

We'll take the late nights.

We'll take the mud, the dust, the broken parts and the empty wallet. 😂

Because once Fulton MotorSports #167 gets through those gates…

the rest of the world can wait.

This isn't just racing.

This is our family.
These are our memories.
