You can be loved deeply and still struggle to receive love.

If you’ve learned to believe that love has to be earned, you may feel uncomfortable when someone loves you freely. You might overgive, feel like you owe them something, question their intentions, or even push away something healthy.

That’s why it’s worth asking yourself:

Do I know how to receive love without feeling like I have to earn it?

Receiving love means allowing yourself to be cared for without immediately feeling the need to repay it.

Because sometimes the work isn’t finding someone who will love you.

It’s learning how to let yourself be loved.

If betrayal, rejection, or being hurt keeps showing up in your relationships, don’t just call it “bad luck.”

Pay attention to the pattern.

Because patterns aren’t random. And more importantly, patterns can be changed.

You can learn to recognize what you’re drawn to, what you tolerate, and what keeps pulling you into the same kind of relationship.

You are not destined to keep repeating the same story.

There is a way to change this. This is what I teach. ❤️

"I need you." đźš©

It sounds romantic, doesn't it?

But if someone is relying on you to meet all of their emotional needs, that's a lot for one relationship to carry.

Healthy relationships aren't built on two people trying to fill each other's emptiness. They're built on two people who know what they need, take responsibility for those needs, and choose to support one another.

There's a big difference between wanting someone and needing someone.

When two people expect the other person to make them feel whole, the relationship eventually collapses under the weight of those expectations.

The healthiest love isn't about dependency. It's about two whole people choosing each other, every single day. 🤍

There are times when you know a relationship isn't healthy, but leaving isn't something you can do right now.

If that's where you are, I want you to remember one thing:

Every day you stay, remind yourself that you're choosing to stay for you.

Not because you have no choice.
Not because you're stuck.

Maybe you're getting your finances in order. Maybe you're protecting your children. Maybe you're waiting for the right time.

Whatever your reason is, let it be your reason.

The moment you see yourself as powerless, you give away the very strength you'll need when it's time to leave.

Protect your power. You're going to need it. 🤍

Shame cannot survive being spoken. 🗣️

It needs you to believe you are alone.
That what happened was your fault.
That no one would understand if you told them.

But sometimes, the deepest wound isn't only what happened.

It's what happened when you finally found the courage to speak… and someone denied your reality.

You needed to be heard.
You needed to be believed.
You needed someone to say, “I see what happened to you.” 🤍

Because being witnessed in your pain can change everything.

Someone asked me recently, “But does this actually work?” 🤔

And I understood the question.

Because most of us have already done a lot of understanding.

We know why we overgive.
We know why we overthink.
We know why we take responsibility for everyone else’s feelings.

And yet… we still do it.

So the question isn’t always, “Why am I like this?”

Sometimes the question is:

What do I do in the moment I notice it happening?

That’s what the GROT Check helps you with

When something happens and you suddenly feel guilty, responsible, like you need to fix everything, or like you need something from someone to feel okay…

Pause.

Ask yourself:

▪️ Am I in Guilt?
▪️ Role-playing?
▪️ Over-responsibility?
▪️ Or Transaction?

And then you get to choose again.

Not from the fear.
Not from the old pattern.
From clarity.

That is the difference between understanding yourself and actually changing how you move through your life.

Because healing isn't just about knowing your patterns.

It's about catching yourself in the moment you're about to repeat them.

And choosing differently 🌱

Which one do you notice yourself doing most?

Guilt is not your leader.

Just because you feel bad doesn’t mean you did something wrong.

Sometimes, guilt is simply a part of you asking to be understood—not obeyed.

So instead of following it, talk to it.

The way you would talk to a friend.

You don’t have to let guilt make the decisions for you.

You can lead yourself through it. 🤍

People don't always lie because they're trying to hurt you.

Sometimes they're speaking from who they *want* to be, not who they're consistently choosing to become.

Your job isn't to close the gap between their words and their actions.

Your job is to stop closing your eyes to what their actions have been showing you all along.

That's where clarity begins. ✨

This reminded me why it's so important to separate fear from understanding.

As someone who grew up in Saudi Arabia as a Muslim woman, I know women who wear the hijab with love, conviction, and pride. Hearing it reduced to a symbol of fear or oppression is deeply painful because it overlooks the humanity of the people behind it.

I also believe this young woman is speaking from what she understands today. When we don't know people personally, it's easy to let headlines, politics, or isolated stories shape our entire view.

The antidote isn't more judgment. It's more curiosity.

Get to know Muslims. Have conversations. Listen to women who choose to wear the hijab and women who don't. You'll quickly discover that no community, culture, or religion can be reduced to a single narrative.

Whether it's selling a hijab or someone practicing their faith differently than you, acceptance doesn't require agreement—it begins with understanding.
