Wow! Jakarta just released 975 WYSIWYGS. I think that’s the most I’ve ever seen from them in one week. It’s the week to stock up since we’ll be closed the weekend of July 4th. There’s definitely something for everyone this week. While there are some higher priced items here, I found myself drawn to a lot of the lower priced pieces this week. The pieces shown here start at under $5. Sales to wholesalers and retailers only. Get your orders in ASAP. Everything arrives in NY on Sunday. **er

Popeye Catalufa have been available in limited numbers recently. If you’re not familiar with them, they’re an awesome squirrel fish. They inhabit deepwater reefs and will do best in a tank with subdued lighting and plenty of overhangs where they can hang out. Here’s a bit of a travelog for one that came in this weekend. You can see it in the bag while we were changing some of the water in the bag. The bag he arrived in had a small leak so we moved him into a larger, thicker bag. Next you can see him in the bag on arrival to the shop that ordered him and then in his tank at the store. If you have customers with big tanks, and especially dimly lit big tanks, these are hard to beat. They’re colorful and interestingly shaped. They’re also pretty easy to keep. Jakarta sent us a bunch of these beautiful Y bar gobies this week. They’re covered in electric blue dots which don’t really show in the video. They’re a great addition to almost every reef tank. Get a few whenever they’re available. Sales to wholesalers and retailers only.
