Why are Small Group Classes of 3 are More Beneficial than Large Group Pilates Class?

Better Results and Faster Progress

Pilates is about precision, not speed. In a small group:

You perform exercises correctly from the start
You progress more safely and efficiently
You’re more likely to see strength, mobility, and posture improvements sooner

Groups that work together weekly, progress together as a group and more quickly than random people each week.

Quality beats quantity every time.

Why are Small Group Classes of 3 are More Beneficial than Large Group Pilates Class?

More Personalized Attention

With only three students, the teacher can closely observe each person’s alignment, breathing, and movement patterns. This means:

More hands-on corrections
Exercises tailored to individual needs or injuries
Fewer bad habits forming unnoticed

In larger classes, teachers simply can’t give the same level of detail to everyone.

Create a Routine That Fits Your Life

Summer often bring unpredictable days. Whether you’re heading out on a trip, throwing a backyard barbecue, or managing family schedules, your schedule is bound to change. The secret? Staying flexible and finding creative ways to keep moving.

Here’s how to stay grounded when your calendar gets full:

πŸ’‘ Map out your week: Look ahead and find windows for movement. Even one or two classes a week can keep your momentum going.

πŸ’‘ Pack the essentials: Bring a Pilates band or small ball with you when traveling. These lightweight tools make it easy to keep moving wherever you go.

πŸ’‘ Adjust your expectations: You don’t need to work out five times a week to be consistent. Show up when you can, and celebrate that effort.

πŸ’‘ Stay connected: Invite a friend to join you in class or set reminders to keep your regular practice top of mind.

Fitness should support your life, not feel like another task. This season, let your routine work with your schedule instead of against it.

Meet Ian Anzures

Ian began his Pilates education in 2007 in Atlanta & New York City.
