Got a question from an advisor this week: "I've been doing 'collabs' for a year and none of them have produced a single client. What am I doing wrong?"
Short answer: she's been doing visibility collaborations—shoutouts and tag-each-other posts. Those build awareness. They don't book trips.
What actually books trips are trust collaborations and client flow collaborations—and those require structure most advisors never put in place.
I wrote a whole breakdown of the 3 types, the 5 partner categories, and the outreach framework (with scripts) a few months back. It still holds up.

The show is Saturday and I am fired up.
I'm sitting down live with a good friend of mine, Charles Sylvia, ECC. He's the VP of Industry and Trade Relations at CLIA—the Cruise Lines International Association—and he represents more than thirty-two thousand travel agents and agency owners across North America.
But here's what I love about this conversation.
Charles didn't start at CLIA.
He started as a front-line agent at a brick-and-mortar travel agency near Cape Cod. Twenty-four years later he sits at the table where the future of cruise distribution gets shaped.
That is Step Two of the Thriving Travel Advisor Blueprint told through a life.
We're going deep on his career arc, on CLIA membership and what those credentials actually signal to the industry, and on the Trade Relations Committee—the room where advisors' voices get carried straight to the cruise lines.
Saturday, August 29 at noon Eastern on the WorldVia Travel Network YouTube channel.
Last live before WORLD26. Come be there.

If you have ever gotten off a discovery call and thought, "What just happened, and why didn't I book that trip?"—this replay is for you.
I went live on Saturday and taught the exact discovery call script I give travel advisors. Warm-up frame, 12 questions, one confident reframe, two closes, five plug-and-play objection responses. The whole call, scripted.
The one line that got the biggest reaction from the audience: the discovery call is your interview, not theirs. You are deciding whether this is the right client for your best work.
If you freeze on calls, or if you have watched a proposal disappear into a client's inbox never to be heard from again, watch the replay:
