Since 2011, Orchard Street Runners has built its identity around creating original race concepts that challenge traditional road racing. Rather than organizing conventional races on different courses, OSR has consistently introduced entirely new formats that reward creativity, strategy and decision-making as much as fitness.
Every race in the Proto Series represents an original concept created by OSR.
Not a variation of an existing race. Not a modified road race.
Combining these OSR classics creates an entirely new competitive experience.
The name Proto reflects that philosophy.
The OSR Proto Series is a championship built around races that are all the first of their kind.

Welcome to the OSR Proto Series. We are transforming five standalone races into one connected championship season.
Every race matters. Every position matters. Every point matters.
Throughout the season, athletes will compete for individual race victories, series points, leader singlets, Series Leader Armbands, Volt Bib recognition and the OSR Proto Series Championship.
Some races reward pure speed. Others reward navigation, tactical decision-making, route selection and endurance.
Every event contributes to a season-long points competition culminating in the OSR Proto Championship on Halloween night, the evening before the New York City Marathon.
