Oklahoma Tornado Survivor Finds Missing Dog During Live Interview Barbara Garcia, a resident of Moore, Oklahoma, who survived yesterday's potentially historic tornado, was being interviewed by CBS News about riding out the storm in the bathroom of her former home.

I received this information from a friend whose family home and neighborhood in the Rockaways was devastated by Hurricane Sandy. She has asked for my help in sharing this information about another family, who needs help raising money to make their home livable and safe so their dogs can come home from the shelter. As someone who is highly allergic to poison ivy, I love the idea of this spray which would reveal the presence of the urushiol oil which causes the rash! It's about time! A registry for convicted animal abusers! If this legislation passes, New York City would become the largest jurisdiction to establish an animal abuse registry. This registry would require pet stores and shelters to check the registry before the animal is released to the prospective home. The goal is to reduce the number of abused animals and limit the ability of animal abusers to commit offenses in the future. Previously, legislation like this has been difficult to pass because of costs. Perhaps fund raising efforts coupled with large fines for convicted animal abusers would help fund this essential bill?!
