The Ravens battled their way through a talented field to earn a spot in the Championship Game. While the final result wasn’t what they had hoped for, this team’s determination, resilience, and heart were on full display all weekend long.

HV Ravens 11U Can't Quite Erase 6-Run Deficit In Loss To Spencerport 11u

HV Ravens 11U's effort to come back from down six runs in the fifth inning came up just short, as they fell 9-7 to Spencerport 11u on Friday at 99 Churchill Rd. HV Ravens 11U closed the gap by scoring on a double, a single, and a walk.

Ethan Matthews collected three hits in three at bats in the loss. Ethan doubled in the third inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

A double by Lukas Millious put HV Ravens 11U on the board in the top of the first.

HV Ravens 11U added one run in the second. Noah Vaughn walked, making the score 2-0.

Spencerport 11u jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Maddox W grounded out, Thomas T singled to center field, Jackson H doubled to center field, and Braxton R laid down a sacrifice bunt, each scoring one run.

An error, and a single by Callen F helped Spencerport extend their early lead in the third.

Evan R earned the win for Spencerport 11u. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and two runs over two innings, striking out three and walking three. Reagan VanSlyke took the loss for HV Ravens 11U. The right-handed pitcher went two innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on three hits, striking out none and walking none.

Lukas M. went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Easton Baskiewicz led HV Ravens 11U with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Easton B. stole two bases. HV Ravens 11U stole six bases in the game.

Craig L went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Spencerport 11u Team Reed in hits. Spencerport 11u turned one double play in the game.
