There are moments we remember where we were, who we were with, and how we reacted. Some of us are crazy enough to make a book of images about moments like this so we can reconnect with them when we want to.
What are your memories of Fernando’s leap in Miami? Have you ordered your copy of Leap of Faith yet?

Leap of Faith - LMNTARYimages NYC When I started photographing IU Athletics events in 1986 an NCAA Basketball Championship topped the wish list of assignments. In 1986 I drew the assignment for the Cleveland State game in Syracuse (an auspicious start), and in 1987 I kept busy covering the celebrations in Bloomington. At the same ti...

Quite the experience as a journalist to be at the White House, but sadly much of what the visiting IU football team did was out of sight of the press corp, and it didn’t bother them the way it did me. It turned into a glorious day and the remarks were fairly on track with the event. A section recognizing the Indiana delegation. A section recounting the highlights of the amazing season. Some talk about Fernando not being there but he was ok with that. Coach Cignetti spoke a bit. Then Charley Becker, and Jamari Sharpe. And then they went off to do more things out of sight of journalists.
Here are a couple of quick photos
Sounds like an impressive entourage from IU at the White House. Three motor coaches arrived a few minutes ago.

Spectacular weather for undergraduate commencement at IU Bloomington tonight. I hoped to find some IU athletes in the crowd but it proved more challenging than I hoped.

Investigating using kickstarter to launch Leap of Faith, the book I’ve created of images from the last season of IU football. Would love your feedback.
One premium would be a custom printed hard cover with jacket version of the book as it is now. 182 pages. 315+ images. From 6 games (PSU, MD, Big Ten v OSU and all three CFP games.) One essay by me and detailed captions of the action photos. These are expensive to print but can be ready quickly. This would also include the expanded book, in development, which would be conventionally printed and with more essays by a variety of IU alums on various topics about the season. Around $400
This level can be fulfilled even if the bigger goal is not achieved.
Adding an 11x17” print of the cover photo, or the image of your choice, would add $100 (Subject to licensing approval)
The conventionally printed book would be bigger than the custom version to include a variety of essays in development, possibly a listing of all the top level supporters, and possibly content from the Daily Hoosier on all the games from the season. Would be ready in the fall. Pricing TBD but in the $50-100 range depending on printing costs. Would need to hit the minimum press run to move forward on this project.
I will share a video of the book in the comments when the first copies arrive next week. The video in my feed is an in progress version of the book
Comment with the level you would be interested in.
