Ever wonder what a Team Wilpers coach's morning looks like? ๐
Spoiler alert: It doesn't start with setting a PR.
It starts with showing up.
Come along for a morning in the life with Coach Justin.
Because great training isn't built in one workout. It's built in the habits you repeat every day.
โ๏ธ What's one thing that's always part of your morning routine?
Team Wilpers
Team Wilpers is a team of experienced coaches and bike fitters helping you reach your fitness goals.
Going all out every single day isn't dedication. It's a fast track to burnout, injury, and losing the love for the sport. ๐ซ
Here's what Coach Ryan thinks about structuring a smart 6-day training week:
โก๏ธ 2 days: push-for-progress efforts, this is where growth happens
โก๏ธ 2 days: intensity without draining the tank, quality without the cost
โก๏ธ 2 days: supportive training, protect your body, keep the engine running
Rest isn't optional. It's the strategy.
Be easy on yourself. Train smart. Watch your progress soar. ๐

Will & Brent met through the Team Wilpers Community and started training together virtually.
A couple of weeks ago, they met up in Seattle and completed the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic, a 207-mile ride through Western Washington, in one day.
We love seeing our community members connecting and riding together!
Oh yeah - did we mention Will had open-heart surgery a year ago? What an inspiration!

Introducing 'Inside the Miles' โ marathon wisdom straight from our calls with Coach Justin. Real training insight, as we build toward NYC. Powered by Zappos.
During our weekly call, Coach Justin shared about Density in training.
Density = Frequency x Volume x Intensity ... In that Order
That order is important to keep you consistent even when coming back to training after time off, sickness, injury, or another break.
And taking breaks is important. Coach Justin recommends taking one day off every week and one week off every year to keep from stagnating in your performance.
Do you struggle with adding rest days into your training schedule? Save this tip for your next training block!
Our expert bike fitter Lorri says it's time for a fit when:
You have a new bike.
You have a new body (surgery, weight changes, fitness shifts).
You have a new goal.
And if you are experiencing numbness, tingling, or burning. ๐จ
Your body is trying to tell you something, and a bike fit might be the answer.
Don't ignore the signs. Protect your body and optimize your ride.

Hard truth: training takes time. โณ
If you keep switching things up: new plan, new method, new approach, you'll never be able to measure what's actually working.
Steady, intentional growth will always outperform a hard ramp-up that leads to a backslide. Trust the process. Stay the course. The results are coming. ๐
Halfway through the year, and motivation is dragging. You're not alone. ๐ฎโ๐จ
The novelty has worn off. The heat is taking its toll. The repetition has gotten old.
Here's what we want you to remember: if you've been showing up consistently, you're not starting over. You're not stuck. You have months of fitness, habit, and momentum working for you.
Strong habits are a tailwind. ๐จ Let them carry you into the second half of the year.
You've got this. Keep going. ๐ช
Summer running is a different beast. ๐ฅต
Here's how to handle it:
โ๏ธ Get out early: beat the heat before it beats you.
โ๏ธ Adjust your expectations: pace and effort will look different, and that's okay.
โ๏ธ Hydrate: more than you think you need.
โ๏ธ Repeat: your body acclimates to the heat over time, but you have to put in the reps.
Don't let the summer heat sideline your progress. Adapt and keep moving.
This is why we do what we do. ๐ฅน
Coach Dani recently heard from one of her long-term clients after a half-marathon PR and a whole journey of hard work behind it. The kind of message that stops you in your tracks and reminds you exactly why this work matters.
That's what private coaching is built for. Not just the finish line, but every hard training day, every doubt, every breakthrough that got them there.
If you've been thinking about private coaching, this is your sign. We'd love to walk alongside you in your journey.

Every coach has a race distance that owns their heart. โค๏ธโ๐ฅ
Blair loves racing the 50K. Dani? All marathon, all day. John's sweet spot is the 10-miler, while Matt lives for the half marathon. Laurel loves to race, no matter the distance
What's YOUR favorite race distance? Drop it in the comments; we want to know what gets you to the start line.
