Eliver Ling asking with Jerry Quill and others are featured in this short by Malay Kim inspired by Wing Chun. At first I eye-rolled at another movie about Wing Chun until the ending. The caption by Malay Kim is a huge problem and it becomes difficult to even have honest debate with the system with some circles.

My inspiration for this short came from my spitefulness of Wing Chun practitioners who believed that Wing Chun was the ultimate fighting style. And that’s partly due to all the Ip Man movies. Full disclosure, I have no hate towards the Ip Man movies or Wing Chun. My problem stems from a personal experience where a Wing Chun senior student legit said to me it’s the best martial arts ever. As martial artists, especially instructors and masters, it’s our job to be honest. What are we practicing and why. Be it health, artistry, combat or mind cultivation. Be truthful to yourself so you can be truthful to others.
