Wishing everyone health, happiness and a lot of good rides this new year. 2026 brings the (Chinese) Year of the Horse, which is associated with high energy, freedom, speed, and prosperity. Also a Fire year, this new chapter calls for bold action, travel, and pursuing ambitious goals. We can’t wait, as we get ready to relaunch KAVAL and hopefully also announce some other big news . . .

Remember The Met Ball Last Month? | Well no surprise - horses were somehow involved. The Metropolitan Museum’s current Costume Institute exhibit “SuperFine: Tailoring Black Style” features a piece on Black Jockeys and their very successful place in racing history. Apparently, horse racing was the first truly national American sport and one of the first that allowed Black men to compete. Cool info.

OG Horse Girl | Married 8x including twice to Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor was one of the most beautiful and famous women in the world. But judging from these photos (including the 1937 one of her at age 4) and her starring role in National Velvet, our guess is horses remained a forever love.
