Tisha B'Av, could not be more pertinent this year "The lips and thoughts of my assailants are against me all day long." (Lamentations 3:62) Sound familiar?

I saw some discussion on social media on whether a Jew should celebrate Mother's Day. Here's my take - Why observe Passover when we are obligated to recall the Exodus from Egypt every single day? Why observe Yom Kippur when we ask God for forgiveness in our daily prayers? The Jewish way is to add an additional dimension to certain days so that they serve as a template on how we should conduct ourselves throughout the rest of the year.
Happy Mother's Day!
