Former TCU safety Jacob Fields turned himself in Sunday morning and now faces a second-degree felony charge stemming from an Aug. 13 locker-room altercation with teammate Dozie Ezukanma that led to his dismissal from the program, per Brett McMurphy of On3...
Ezukanma says Fields sucker-punched him after tensions carried over from a hard block in practice, knocking him unconscious when his head hit the floor.
Fields had just transferred to TCU after winning Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year at Louisiana Tech and was expected to start this season for the Horned Frogs.
