Englewood Jr Track & Field Team Englewood Jr. Track and Field Team was founded in 1985 by Harold Ware and has been a stable for youth of Englewood ever since.
The team is made up of athletes ages 7-16 that can compete in all track events the 100m dash to the 3000m run. They also are trained in the race walk, hurdles, long and triple jump, plus all throwing events. In 2000 the team was taking over by myself Cherie Ware-Powell due to the failing health of my dad. I recruited my close friends Eugenia Walker-Robinson, Alana Alleyne and Jerome C Anderson to

Today was all about fun, laughter, good food, great memories, and celebrating our amazing athletes. We are so proud of each and every one of you and everything you accomplished this season.

Let’s celebrate another amazing season together! We can’t wait to see our Englewood Jr. Track & Field family there! Please bring your lawn chairs and blankets for the BBQ and celebration portion of the day. **This is a separate event from the community pool party that begins at 3 PM you must register to attend an event with the Englewood Rec Department**

Mother Nature really said, “Let me join the competition!” 🌪️🌧️😳
One minute we were at the USATF NJ meet, the next minute we were dodging pouring rain, crazy winds, and hail! For about 20 minutes it felt like we were in the middle of a weather disaster movie. 😂
But that’s track & field life — rain, wind, hail, and all. The athletes stayed tough and kept pushing!
