We have been saying since Covid began that the fallout of the lack of swim education would have huge consequences. Now here we are. Swimming lessons reduce the rate of drowning by 88%. New York is currently 4th highest in the country in fatal drownings. We are the only state that does not have year round swimming in the top 5. PLEASE take swim safety seriously, it happens to the best of people who everything right at any age.
