βAdvancedβ Asanas π
As we make our way into the βSmile-asana,β we discover itβs the most uplifting pose of them all. If I ever lead a class, weβd hold this one for a ten breaths π
This asana guides us to βYuj,β the sacred union that connects us all. After all, channeling your inner drill sergeant may not produce the best soldiers for a yoga battlefield!
In the mind of the βJugglerβ π€ΉπΏββοΈ
In my journey through yoga, Iβve learned to juggle less and appreciate what Iβm actually holding. With countless distractions vying for our attention, itβs essential to focus on what we can control. Fewer balls in the air means more room for understanding!

What a series! I donβt think I laughed this much creating content for the Ashtanga yoga community. The ideas youβve shared with me were fun and silly!
Your support provides not only quality content but also a quality community! It's amazing to see Ashtanga yoga portrayed in a humorous way that brings us all together to share laughs and experiences.

The NYC Ashtangi πππΏ
Iβm almost to my 4th year of practicing Ashtanga yoga and I'm proud to be still going. I'm grateful for how my Jiu Jitsu instructor guided me towards Ashtanga yoga. I'm glad he challenged me because he believed in me.
It was never solely about achieving asanas. Ashtanga yoga has provided me with enough stability in my lifestyle, enabling me to better identify the underlying issues that hold me back mentally and spiritually. Society often oppresses us with their complaints and assumes that the same outcome awaits us all.
We tend to hastily label outcomes and set expectations without truly exploring our senses. Instead of assuming the outcome, I followed the proper route of reading and studying what I was getting into. It was never driven by ego or competition.
It's incredible what can happen when you teach someone self-motivation and compassion. Being self-aware of your personal growth is an amazing experience for everyone to witness.
Thank you ππΏ

Being proactive and reaching out to people is super important for making connections and finding new opportunities. It's totally normal to feel a bit nervous when talking to older teachers or other important folks, but those convos can lead to awesome connections and maybe even friendships. Pushing through the nerves and stepping outside your comfort zone can open up all kinds of cool doors for you to grow personally and grab new chances.
Just keep practicing and hanging out with others, because it'll boost your confidence and help you grow your network.

You shouldn't have to work extra hard or put up with bad treatment just to earn respect. If you find yourself in a situation where you're not being treated right, it's important to realize it and take care of yourself by getting out of there. Always remember that you deserve to be treated nicely and with respect. Don't be afraid to set boundaries to keep yourself safe.

βStart by doing whatβs necessary; then do whatβs possible; and suddenly youβre doing the impossible.β
β Francis of Assisi
Francis of Assisi advises a progressive approach to achieving the seemingly impossible. By starting with what is necessary and then gradually moving towards what is possible, one can eventually find themselves accomplishing feats that were once considered impossible. It emphasizes the power of taking small steps and building momentum towards extraordinary achievements.
