Your birthday was Monday. June 29th. You would have been 50 years old. Grief is not easy. It comes in waves. Hits me at random times. When I’m all alone with nothing but my thoughts. It comes in waves. Hits me at random times. When I’m all alone with nothing but my thoughts. It doesn’t get easier. You just try to adjust to a life without them. My situation is different from many.
My mom was in a vegetative state for 12 years.
Although she was physically here my mom was not there. Last year her body had enough and she passed. Not a day goes by I don’t think about you mommy. The laughs we would have had, the memories we could have made together. I wake up everyday because of you. I do what I love because of you. I encourage others and make them believe in themselves because of you mommy. I love you always.
