Recently, a touching moment involving a young cancer patient went viral around the world, turning compassion into conversations, awareness and support for children fighting cancer. Yesterday in Mutengene, we marched for that same reason: every child deserves a fighting chance.
Childhood cancer is not a death sentence. It can be treated and cured, especially when the warning signs are recognized early. That is why we shared the SILUAN acronym, a simple reminder to help us recognize possible warning signs of childhood cancer in children. Because awareness can lead to early detection, early detection can lead to treatment, and treatment can save lives.
We marched. We learned. We advocated. And we will keep raising our voices until no child fights cancer alone.

A few seconds of kindness went viral and people around the world started talking about childhood cancer. 💛
Just this week, a touching moment involving a young cancer patient at a concert sparked millions of views and a huge wave of support for children fighting cancer. It reminded the world that sometimes, one moment of awareness can start a much bigger movement.
As we look back at the powerful moments from our Bamenda workshop, we are getting ready to take the conversation forward. Tomorrow, we are in Mutengene.
Together, we learn. Together, we recognize the signs earlier. Together, we give children a better chance.
