Know Them Be Them Raise Them

After being wildly neglectful of my garden most of the spring and halfway through the summer due to my new job and classes, there are FINALLY some edible things emerging and also quite the accidental butternut squash plant that grew in my compost pile while I was not turning it. I’ll call that a win 🙌

First time seeing a praying mantis this year and this little friend thought our house looked nice enough to let themselves in while Anthony was bringing in groceries. And while I appreciate the friendly drop in, I figured it was better to scoop it up before Betsy could smoosh the poor thing and bring it outside to hang where the possibilities of getting smooshed by a shepherd are exponentially lower.

The gasp I gusped

Been almost 2 weeks back but but my mind is still there. 🤎🌲

22 years 🩷. From dive bars on the south shore of LI watching our friend’s bands (shoutout Blind Robbery and the Funky Fish) to babysitters for Noah Kahan stadium shows and a lot of life in between. 🍻 Here’s to a bunch more decades of jumping around singing and dancing before our knees give out. 🤎 love you!

My work from home immune system was no match for an elementary school at the end of cold and flu season 🤣. Took a beating first couple of weeks after starting but 2 rounds of antibiotics later got back to a short, chill run today. Also stopped about a billion times to look at flowers so we might as well call it a spring flower walk with some jogging mixed in.

Happy opening day. LFGM.

Sun is out, Spring is Springing, my kids are back to decorating the driveway with chalk and there was not a jacket in sight today. Easy 2 miler. LFG.

4 miles and I don’t think PA will ever see the sun again but we went out with the girls and told them we were walking through clouds to make it feel less dreary so there’s that.

I love a dusk run so damn much. 🩷 9 weeks til the Broad Street run, trying to get my ass back in gear! 🏃🏻‍♀️
