Weddings are more than just a beautiful party. It's a community of people coming together to celebrate a new beginning and acknowledge the journey getting there. This group pretty much adopted me on our trip to New Orleans and made the experience truly unforgettable. I am a creature who loves comfort which makes me incredibly hesitant to try new things. Comfort provides stability, warmth and safety. Moving to LA has shaken me into being ok with not knowing and appreciate the things that were always in front of me. I found myself living simply, intentionally and being more content. To know that I am enough without all the bows and whistles. My insecurities would often cause me to hide behind cuteness for fear of being in the spotlight. The irony is that I have nothing to hide and its time to be ok with that. Later this week I'll be rolling out my new site which is a reflection of my new life. A women in her 30s who photographs the truth of who people really are. Not the lies they believe in their head about themselves.
